Delta first class flyers will soon a new meal option ahead of their flights: Shake Shack cheeseburgers.

It’s official: Shake Shack is coming to Delta Air Lines flights.

The Atlanta-based carrier announced the new partnership with the fast-food brand launching across the country, starting with flights departing Boston Logan Airport (BOS) on December 1, 2024.

Shake Shack Cheeseburger Option Available as Pre-Order Option

The Shake Shack cheeseburger can be selected as a meal option for first class flyers as a pre-select option. Travelers can order the meal between seven days and 24 hours before their flight using the Fly Delta app or clicking on the link in their e-mail. The cheeseburger will not be available for purchase in the main cabin.

Each burger will be served with all the traditional toppings on the side, including lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and the restaurant’s famous “ShackSauce.” Rounding out the offering are chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie “reminiscent of Shack Attack flavors from some of the brand’s dessert offerings.”

“A delicious cheeseburger is an iconic comfort food,” Stephanie Laster, managing director of onboard service at Delta, said in a press release. “Our customers know that which is why burgers are one of the top ordered menu items we offer, and we’re thrilled to elevate the offering with Shake Shack.”

In addition to the new burger options, Delta is also updating their wine program ahead of the holiday travel season. Flights will offer a selection of flights pulled from a list of 20 hand-picked wines by the airline’s sommelier.

The new food option is the latest feature in the collaboration between Delta and Shake Shack founder Union Square Hospitality Group. Unlike the meals offered by Union Square Events which are only available on flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York, the Shake Shack cheeseburger will be available in multiple markets in 2025.
